  • Why should I choose soy over parrafin wax candles?
Soy wax contains nothing artificial, which is one of the reasons that we believe it is a better alternative to paraffin wax candles (which is made from petroleum oil and produces harmful by-products when burned or melted). Soy wax is non-toxic making it better both for the environment and your health!
  • Do soy candles smell nice?
Yes, definetly. All of our candles are handcrafted and we take great care to add our fragrance oils at the correct temperature in the candlemaking process to ensure the perfect hot throw (just a fancy way of saying the scent when burned). We test all of our candles throughly to ensure you get the best from the fragrances and oils that we use. Plus, because soy wax burns cleaner than paraffin wax, the scent from its essential oils is more pleasant and stronger-smelling than the chemical scents added to paraffin. It’s common to hear people complain of headaches when paraffin candles burn, but in general, this isn’t due to the scent of the wax but rather the toxins it releases into the air.
  • How long does a soy candle burn for?
Soy candles actually have a longer burn time than traditional parrafin candles and at a cooler temperature.

  • How can I get the best from my HulaBright candle?
We always say that it is best to have the first burn-time of at least 2 hours, making sure the wax melts all the way to the edge of the container to prevent tunnelling. Always trim wick prior to each burn. From time to time discolouration can occur on the inside of the container due to drafts. In the event of discolouration use a damp cloth and wipe around the inside of the container to remove.
  • I've got wax around the edges of my candle, what can I do?"
If you weren't able to burn your candle long enough to get the wax to melt to the edge of the container, simply slowly swirl the container round and round. The melted wax will generate enough heat to gently melt the remaining wax that was left on your glass container.
  • How long should I burn my candle for?

  • How can I burn a candle safetly?
